LOS ANGELES, Calif. Buffalo Bills Jerseys . - Clayton Kershaw gave up two home runs, as many as he did in his previous 11 starts, and that was enough to abruptly snap his long winning streak. Ryan Braun and Carlos Gomez homered against the two-time NL Cy Young Award winner and three-time defending major league ERA champion on Saturday night, as the Milwaukee Brewers beat the Los Angeles Dodgers 3-1 behind eight solid innings from Yovani Gallardo. Kershaw (14-3), who had won 11 straight decisions, allowed five hits and no walks and struck out 11 in going the distance for the 17th time in 202 career starts. "It comes down to (the fact that) I got outpitched," said Kershaw, who had a 1.16 ERA over his previous 13 starts since his last loss on May 28 against Cincinnati. Last Sunday, he held the NL Central-leading Brewers to one run in eight innings in a 5-1 victory at Milwaukee. "Yovani pitched better than I did and we lost the game," Kershaw said. "I just made more mistakes than he did and it showed up on the scoreboard. "Its funny, I felt like I pitched so much better than I did in Milwaukee. I got lucky in Milwaukee, and Im paying for it here." Justin Turner had an RBI single in the fourth for the Dodgers, whose third loss in four games reduced their NL West lead over San Francisco to 4 1-2 games following the Giants 6-5 win over Philadelphia. Braun heard taunts of "Cheat-er, cheat-er" from the crowd of 50,849 as he dug in against Kershaw in the fourth inning. He temporarily silenced them with an opposite-field drive that barely cleared the right field fence and the leaping attempt of Matt Kemp, the runner-up to Braun for NL MVP honours in 2011. The two-run homer was the 15th shot this season for Braun, who was suspended for the final 65 games last season and the playoffs for violating baseballs drug policy. "Kershaw is the best pitcher in baseball and hes been on an incredibly great run," Braun said. "Its extremely difficult to beat him, and it hasnt happened much this year. So for us to do that is an impressive accomplishment and something were proud of. "To split those two games he started is encouraging for us." Gomez drove Kershaws first pitch of the sixth inning into the Dodgers bullpen in left field for his 19th homer. "I think one of our biggest strengths is that we have guys up and down the lineup who have the ability to hit home runs and drive the ball for extra-base hits," Braun said. "When you face pitching thats this good, sometimes you dont get many opportunities." Gallardo (8-6) threw 96 pitches, allowing a run and six hits with three strikeouts and a walk. The right-hander has won back-to-back starts for the first time since his first two outings of the season. "Yo was just outstanding," Brewers manager Ron Roenicke said. "He had great command and an outstanding fastball. He pitched off the fastball the whole game, mixing in his slider and curveball. He really dominated. Thats a good club, so you cant mess around and make mistakes against them." Francisco Rodriguez got three outs for his major league-leading 38th save and 342nd of his career, despite giving up Kemps 15th homer leading off the ninth. Rodriguez, who broke a tie with Hall of Famer and former Brewers closer Rollie Fingers for 11th place on baseballs career list, has passed 11 players this season. TRAINERS ROOM Brewers: RHP Matt Garza, sidelined because of a strained left oblique, played catch for the second straight day. Dodgers: 3B Juan Uribe was placed on the disabled list because of an injured right hamstring for the second time this season. He is the seventh Dodgers player to go on the DL this month, joining SS Hanley Ramirez and pitchers Josh Beckett, Hyun-Jin Ryu, Paul Maholm, Chris Perez and Paco Rodriguez. UP NEXT Brewers: Wily Peralta (14-7, 3.46 ERA) is 5-1 with a 2.06 ERA in his last six starts since giving up a career-worst nine runs in a 9-7 home loss to the Phillies. Dodgers: Dan Haren (10-9, 4.50) is coming off victories over the Angels and Braves. He will attempt to win three consecutive starts for the first time since July 27-Aug. 9, 2013, when he beat the Mets, Brewers and Phillies and went seven innings each time. Malone will become an unrestricted free-agent and as per the collective bargaining agreement, the Lightning will be responsible for two-thirds of the remainder of his contract over twice the length of the rest of the deal. The NBA Finals will resume tonight in a presumably much more comfortable AT&T Center when the San Antonio Spurs welcome the Miami Heat. You can watch the game live on TSN and TSN GO or listen to the action on TSN Radio 1050 at 7:30pm et/4:30pm pt. The Spurs grabbed a 1-0 series lead Thursday night in the sweltering heat of a late spring San Antonio night. Of course, it didnt help that the AT&T Centers air conditioner malfunctioned and didnt work through the course of the game. As temperatures soared into the mid-90s, the Spurs emerged with a 110-95 victory, but the busted AC unit played a major role. LeBron James was forced to leave the game midway through the fourth quarter due to cramping. James has faced cramping issues in the past and the four-time MVP was unable to move Thursday following a layup to get the game within two. "My body just shut down, basically my body said, okay, enough jumping for you for the night. Youve had enough," James said after practice on Friday. "Nothing I could do about it." That didnt stop social media from exploding, questioning James toughness. "I really dont care what people say about me," noted James. The two-time Finals MVP, the Heat, the Spurs and frankly anyone in attendance Sunday night should feel relieved. The AT&T Center staff fixed the problem and it should be very comfortable for Game 2. "It will be fine. Weve been assured of that," said Heat head coach Erik Spoelstra. The extreme conditions played a role in Game 1, but were the same for both squads. When James had to be carried back to the bench, the Spurs finished the game on a 31-9 run witth six minutes to go. Harrison Phillips Jersey. Danny Green, who set an NBA Finals record with 27 made 3-pointers last year, caught fire late in Game 1. He drained three long balls during the decisive run and finished with 13 points. Tim Duncan contributed 21 points and 10 rebounds, Tony Parker poured in 19 points and handed out eight assists, and Manu Ginobili totaled 16 points and 11 assists for the Spurs, who shot a scorching 14-of-16 from the floor in the fourth, including a perfect 6-of-6 mark from long distance. Tiago Splitter added 14 points and Boris Diaw pulled down 10 rebounds. The Spurs shot 59 percent for the game and 52 percent from long range. "Were not as good as we used to be defensively. So if thats going to diminish, you need to do something at the other end of the floor to make up for it," explained coach Gregg Popovich. "We changed our pace, and the way we approach things at the other end of the floor to make up for what were going to lose defensively. Thats the bottom line." James paced the Heat with 25 points and six assists, while Wade and Bosh supplied 19 and 18 points, respectively, in the setback. "We have to finish the game better, no matter who is on the floor," Wade said, referring to the absence of James. Ray Allen provided a spark off the bench with 16 points, while another veteran, Rashard Lewis, scored 10. The Heat have won 12 straight following a loss in the postseason and theres no reason to panic. Miami lost the first game in each of the last two Finals and went on to win the series. The series shifts to South Beach for Game 3 Tuesday night.
